I got into tech when I was five. Robotics was where I started.
Before I got into desktop computers at six, I spent a lot of time playing and messing around with a jailbroken iPad.
I also messed around with Roblox game development.
At twelve, I built my own Gentoo Linux system. I wanted to get closer to how the machine worked. That's still a big part of what I enjoy about Linux.
Why networking stuck
I'm passionate about IT networking. I like working out how separate computers talk to each other and how the connections between them work. Understanding an individual machine is interesting; understanding how it fits into a network gives me more to figure out.
These days, I also build websites. I run Doceva, where we're building Lingua, and I design and build complete websites for other people. The work is different from building that Gentoo system, but I still want to understand what's going on underneath.
